Charging the Batteries with the AC Charger 1 Be sure the engine (if equipped) is turned off. 2 Be sure the batteries are connected before charging the batteries. 3 Open the machine covers. The covers should remain open for the entire charging cycle. 4 Remove the battery vent caps and check the battery acid level. If necessary, add only enough distilled water to cover the plates. Do not overfill prior to the charge cycle. 5 Replace the battery vent caps. 6 Connect the battery charger to a grounde
